The picture has interesting shapes that caught my eye. I found them intriguing to look at. If I met the artist, I would ask him what he was trying to capture in this picture. All the shapes are different shades too. The back wall is a bright color, and the picture slowly darkens as you get closer to the sides. I like this technique; it draws our eyes around the whole picture, not just one part.

I had to look up what daschund meant to understand this work. I found out that daschund is a type of british dog if I remember correctly. Even knowing that this picture still makes absolutely no sense. It makes you think why did the author create this picture. What did he/she want us to learn? I can guess that they wanted to have a good time drawing the picture and not worry about anything else. It seems like a child drew it, which takes me back when I would draw pictures with my brother when we were younger.

I like cats more than most people. That is why I chose this picture. I saw that the cats face was not in the middle of the picture. I immediately assumed that the cat's face was the focal point of the work. I then thought that I would be able to use this picture for the journal and show off my love of cats. I particularly like the color of this cat, and how it shows whats behind him/her.
